Given Their Fear of Guns, How Have Professors Ever Gone Off Campus? :: 05/28/2021

For decades, gun control advocates constantly claim that Right-to-Carry laws would lead to disaster. But when disasters don’t occur they move on to the next prediction of disaster. We have to keep track of these predictions if only to judge how much weight to give to their erroneous predictions.

I’ve said before that cops have a tough job. I know that as well as anyone who hasn’t done the job could possibly know. I grew up around it and still keep tabs on it as best as I can.

Armed Teacher Thwarts Kidnapping At Utah Elementary School :: 05/27/2021

Since 2003, Utah has allowed school staffers with concealed carry licenses to lawfully carry on the job, and while we don’t really have any idea of how many teachers and staff across the state exercise their right to carry a firearm in defense of their students and themselves, we know that there’s at least one teacher in the town of Ogden who’s carrying while on campus, because on Tuesday afternoon they prevented a kidnapping from a school playground.

Biden Seizes On San Jose Shooting To Push Gun Control :: 05/27/2021

President Joe Biden used the shooting in San Jose on Thursday that left nine people dead (not including the suspect who took his own life) to demand that the Senate take action on a pair of background check bills already approved by the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives. In a statement, Biden referenced recent shootings, including the grocery store shooting in Boulder, Colorado and the attack at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis before calling on lawmakers to embrace his anti-gun agenda.

If Biden's pick to head the ATF gets the nod, we're all in trouble :: 05/27/2021

Biden's nominee to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, David Chipman, is a longtime gun control advocate.  Putting him in charge of the ATF is a guaranteed attack on American's Second Amendment rights.  As Wednesday's Senate hearing showed, the guy is also a crackpot and a liar.

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- On Tuesday, Pennsylvania’s effort to join 21 other states with Constitutional Carry officially launched as the House Judiciary Committee voted to report House Bill 659, by Rep. Who Didn't See This Coming? :: 05/26/2021

This headline in the New York Times tells you everything you need to know about the progressive mindset, “A Year After George Floyd: Pressure to Add Police Amid Rising Crime.” Who didn’t know that demonizing police, cutting their funding, making it as clear as day that a city’s political leaders not only won’t defend them, but will actively throw them to the mob without any due process considerations might lead to problems for a city? Turns out pretty much every left-wing activist in the country. Worse, most of them still don’t care.

Adding Teeth To Pennsylvania Preemption Law Too Much For Some :: 05/25/2021

When Pittsburgh decided to thumb its nose as the state’s preemption law, a lot of lawmakers were less than pleased. Why should they be happy? A city just hoisted a middle finger and decided to directly violate state law and there was absolutely nothing anyone could really do about it except, maybe, for the courts.

CBS News Blames Rising Crime On Record Gun Sales :: 05/25/2021

Now, anti-gun bias on the part of the media isn’t exactly a new phenomenon, but this report by CBS News is pretty egregious. Why 260 Cops Have Fled Seattle :: 05/25/2021

There hasn’t been a police department more brutalized in recent memory. In Seattle, cops have been pummeled by a psycho city council. It’s not shocking. Seattle is left-wing. The residents are left-wing. They’re all nuts. The mayor allowed armed leftists to seize portions of the city. The ‘summer of love’ came crashing down when—shocker—people started to get shot and killed inside the autonomous zone. They have hamstrung the police and spit in their faces. After a summer of riots and not being allowed to restore order, along with an overall anti-police atmosphere, are we shocked that scores of cops have fled Seattle? Around 20 percent of the police force has left (via CBS News):

SCOTUS Isn't The Only Supreme Court Taking Up 2A Cases :: 05/23/2021

It’s going to be several more months before the U.S. Supreme Court hears oral arguments in a case challenging New York’s subjective “may-issue” licensing laws for those who want to carry a firearm in self-defense, but there are a number of important Second Amendment cases that state Supreme Courts will soon be deciding, and their opinions are likely to have a huge impact in states that have both been historically hostile and supportive of the right to keep and bear arms.
