Anti-Gun Group Argues Guns In Polling Places Is Intimidation :: 10/22/2018

Gun rights activists are used to dealing with the stupid from anti-gunners. Social media especially is littered with armchair experts who talk about tasing or pepper spraying lawful gun owners carrying a firearm in according with all rules and regulations, then taking that gun from them until police arrive. It’s an effort to intimidate gun owners into not carrying firearms.

Gallup Finds Most Americans Oppose 'Assault Weapon' Ban :: 10/22/2018

If Democrats take control of Congress after November, one thing you can guarantee will be coming down the pipe will be a new attempt at an assault weapon ban, if not a ban on all semi-automatic rifles. It’s unlikely it would ever be passed, even by a Democrat-controlled Congress, at least in part because President Trump would veto it.

Parkland Dad Lashes Out At Gun Grabbing Democrats :: 10/20/2018

It’s easy to forget that not everyone with close ties to Parkland went full-on anti-gunner. After all, look at what the media has put forward for us to look at left and right since the massacre took place. We’ve seen David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez, Delaney Tarr, and numerous parents who all sit there and tell us how evil guns are. It’s easy to forget that they’re not the totality of Parkland.

Bill Introduced To Prevent Banks From Cutting Off Gun Industry :: 10/19/2018

If there’s one depressing thing I do here at Bearing Arms, it’s writing about financial institutions which have unilaterally decided to stop doing business with lawful firearm companies because they don’t like the business they’re in. Like many, I’ve been trying to find a reason why this is happening. I can’t believe the entire financial industry is full of anti-gunners and nothing else.

Unless you watch the news closely you likely missed the news that a day ago there was a very deadly mass public school shooting in Crimea. It will probably be another day or so until there is a good idea how many people were killed by eighteen-year-old Vladislav Roslyakov. This case will quickly be forgotten in the news coverage.

The Gun Control Debate: A Brief History :: 10/19/2018

For the nearly two hundred years after its approval as an amendment to the United States Constitution, few sentences in the Bill of Rights caused less controversy. Few courts and fewer legal scholars paid any attention to the Second Amendment to the Constitution. How that changed is a fascinating and uniquely American story that brings together the Black Panthers, Ronald Reagan, a civil war within the NRA, and gun regulations in Washington D.C.

Gun control advocates fund abortion midterm ads :: 10/18/2018

Gun control was supposed to be the issue of 2018. Yet it has receded so far into the background of the midterm congressional elections that Everytown for Gun Safety, a major player in gun control, is spending its money on ads covering abortion, health care and the Republican tax bill — but nary a mention of assault rifles or bump stocks.

Is it shocking? No, not really. These are politicians—and politicians lie. But when you’re one of the most vulnerable Democrats running for re-election, it’s probably best not to say you’re for gun bans in a deep red state that broke heavily for Trump in 2016.
