SHOCKER: Stolen Guns End Up In Criminal Hands :: 08/30/2019

What the supposed idea behind gun control is that it will take guns out of the hands of bad people. If gun control activists are to be believed–and I don’t believe them–the perfect gun control scheme would make it physically impossible for any bad person to ever get a gun of any kind while law-abiding citizens could own pretty much whatever they wanted.

A Woman's Right to Choose Her Own Self-Defense :: 08/29/2019

On a daily basis, we hear politicians talk about a woman’s right to choose, but are they supporting a woman’s right to choose everything in her life? Do those politicians support her right to choose the best education for her children? Do they support her right to choose what manner of self-defense is best for her situation?

DRGO: Gun Control and the Hallmarks of Tyranny–A Reappraisal :: 08/29/2019

Georg Hegel (1770-1831), the father of dialectical idealism, which Karl Marx transmogrified as Marxist dialectical materialism, lamented that what we do learn from history is that man does not learn its lessons!

How The El Paso Shooter Obtained His Firearm :: 08/29/2019

One of the points of interest following any mass shooting is in just how the shooter got his firearm in the first place. After all, so much of gun control revolves around trying to prevent that individual from obtaining a firearm, it only makes sense we’d want to see what he did to get it.

Mass shooters and the victim body count :: 08/29/2019

The mainstream media (MSM) have been sensationalizing mass shootings for the last three decades, reaching a crescendo in the last several months. They sensationalized gun violence as a way to put pressure on and force Congress to pass unconstitutional gun control laws that disarm the law-abiding citizen while doing nothing to stop criminals.

Accelerant Control? Weapons Are Not Responsible for Crimes :: 08/28/2019

An attacker screaming “Drop dead!” and “DIE!” recently murdered 34 people and injured three dozen more in a brutal attack. This terrible tragedy occurred only a few months after another rampage in which a man attacked 17 elementary school children and two adults — leaving two dead. It followed yet another mass killing in which a deranged individual wrote a letter claiming that “all disabled should cease to exist.” He then went on to murder 19 people and wound 25 more, the youngest 19 years old and the oldest 70, at a facility for the mentally disabled.

Dave Chappelle is out with a brand new stand-up set for Netflix, and the woke brigades are already declaring that you can just go ahead and skip the special. His biggest thought crime, at least for Vice‘s Taylor Hosking, is being transphobic.

Gun Grabbers In A Tizzy Over Open Carry :: 08/28/2019

I’m not a huge fan of open carry. I know some of you are and I respect your decision to carry openly. I know some people carry openly because their states allow that without a permit and so that’s how they’ll carry. I respect that decision too. In fact, I respect your decision to carry however the hell you want to carry, truth be told.

New York's New 'Red Flag' Law Illustrates the Due Process Problems Posed by Gun Confiscation Orders :: 08/28/2019

New York's "red flag" law, which takes effect tomorrow, illustrates the due process issues raised by court orders that suspend people's Second Amendment rights when they are deemed a threat to themselves or others. The law seems designed to compound the problems created by the 2013 SAFE Act, which required mental health specialists to report people they thought "likely to engage in conduct that will cause serious harm to self or others" so police could confiscate their guns.

SCOTUS Has A New 2nd Amendment Case In Its Sights :: 08/28/2019

October 1, 2019, could end up being a huge day for gun owners at the U.S. Supreme Court. No opinions will be handed down that day, but the nine justices are scheduled to decide what it will do with several challenges to gun control laws that have made their way to the Court. The case getting the most attention is NYSRPA v NYC, which is a challenge to a gun transportation law. New York City is trying to moot the case by changing the law, but the Court could still choose to hear the case.

This Writer's Plan To 'Disarm America' Has One Major Flaw :: 08/28/2019

I’ll admit it. A headline that promises a plan to disarm America is gonna get my click. There’s no way I can resist reading a column that touts a way to remove hundreds of millions of firearms from the legal possession of tens of millions of Americans. And in fact, Splinter‘s Jack Crosbie doesn’t think we can actually get every gun out there. Or, as he puts it:

Why Universal Background Checks Won't Stop Mass Shootings :: 08/28/2019

One of the many laws being considered to stem the tide of mass shootings is universal background checks. Along with red flag laws that we already noted don’t prevent mass shootings, universal background checks are supposed to put an end to mass shootings, now and forever. Alright, maybe not, but they’re supposed to put a serious dent in the issue, right?

ATF vs the Constitution :: 08/27/2019

In the United States, under a republican form of government, power is divided between the states and the central government.  Within the central government, as is within the states, that power is further sub-divided between branches of the government.  All of these government organizations have charters or documents that govern what power they have and the boundaries each organization must adhere to.  The fundamental document outlining these powers and duties are the constitutions for their respective governments.

Jonathan Hoffman: 'Red Flag' laws are about seizing guns, not protecting citizens :: 08/27/2019

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is very enthusiastic about enacting some type of “red flag” law. He was quoted in the Arizona Capitol Times as saying, “I think the STOP plan — the Severe Threat Order of Protection — is the crown jewel of our safe schools plan,” and, “It’s the one tool that could have eliminated the mass shootings that have happened in other places in the country.”

Mass shootings are a call to arms for some black Americans, not a moment for gun control :: 08/27/2019

Black Americans have had a curious relationship with firearms. These weapons were used to keep them subdued during slavery, then terrorized in the Jim Crow south. African-American gun advocates argue that guns also preserved our ancestors’ peace when they were menaced by racists in the antebellum South and the divided North. They argue that, as with all social issues in America, the role of race cannot be downplayed in gun control debates.

USA Today: Yes to gun bans, but no to confiscation :: 08/27/2019

While we all wait around to see whether or not the President is going to cave on gun control legislation, the editorial board at USA Today has published a lengthy screed about the need for moderation in what the Democrats should be asking for. They’re on board with a ban on “assault weapons” (along with extended magazines and other attachments) but they think that a mandatory “buyback” program or other forms of gun confiscation are a bridge too far. Why? Because it would cause people to stiffen their spines and reject the entire package.

Why red flag laws, background checks and an assault weapons ban won't stop mass shootings :: 08/27/2019

Congress is notorious for passing legislation without reading it, but the urge to rush legislation reached a new level in Washington this month. Some members of Congress have announced support for gun control bills that haven’t even been written yet!

Democrats Use Every Excuse to Disarm the Good Guys :: 08/26/2019

Gun-free zones disarm the good guys but fail to disarm violent murderers. We saw this again in the mass murders last month, but this isn’t a new phenomenon. We see example after example as we look at the history of violent attacks. Gun-control politicians don’t care about this history of failure and the media never holds gun-control politicians to account. In fact, Democrat politicians demand more gun-control after each mass murder. Here are a few of the failures they want us to ignore.
