YouTuber offers to buy felons guns, gets busted :: 02/23/2016

DENVER-A 28-year-old man who advertised on YouTube he would buy guns for convicted felons is in federal custody after an undercover sting by the ATF.

“I'm getting sick and tired of all this crap that's going on,” Kenneth Francis says on a video he uploaded in December titled “Need Help Getting a Gun?

“It’s really starting to piss me off, so if you have a felony or whatever, contact me,” he said.

In the video, after ranting about what he perceives as corrupt laws and the second Amendment, Francis offers to buy anyone a gun for a $50 fee, just as long as they have a state ID.

"$50 is a very reasonable price because I'm basically going to be breaking the law here,” Francis says on video. “And I'm okay with that because the law is corrupt."

In the video description box, Francis advertised his fees along with his e-mail and phone number.

9Wants to Know learned ATF agents conducted an undercover buy with Francis, who bought guns at two sporting goods stores in the Denver area last month.

Court records show Francis has been indicted for making a false statement to a firearms dealer and for unlawful disposition of a firearm.

Francis, who advertises services as a professional massage therapist, claims the Second Amendment doesn’t prohibit anybody from having the right to bear arms, even convicts.

According to court records, Francis could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
