West Virginia Self-Defense: State Police: Homeowner in Lincoln County shoots naked man who tries to break in :: 04/12/2021
West Virginia State Police say a man is in stable condition after breaking onto a home and then being shot by the homeowner early Monday morning in Lincoln County.
Jeffery Roberts II, 28, was shot in the left shoulder Monday morning after State Police say he attempted to gain entry into a home on Bulger Road in the Alkol area. Troopers said Roberts was naked at the time of the incident and appeared to be high.
The incident happened around 1:50 a.m.
Investigators said Roberts has not been charged, but is expected to face a burglary charge.
State Police say Roberts was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center General.
West Virginia State police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight in Lincoln County.
The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. on Bulger Road in the Alkol area, according to 911 dispatchers.
Dispatchers said a man was trying to break into a house when he was shot by the homeowner.
The man was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital. His condition was unavailable.
