Washington Self-Defense Report - Armed Employee Stops Suspect Who Attacked Group of Women and Pulled a 12in Knife :: 08/14/2014
An armed employee at a Tacoma, Washington wine bar was probably glad they were carrying a firearm when the following events happened.
A man, identified as Robert Anthony Rash, punched a woman in the face, flipped the table where she was sitting with her friends and then drew a 12 inch kitchen knife.
Fortunately, that's when one of the employees at the bar intervened.
According to The News Tribune,
After the punch, another customer at the wine bar walked outside and told Rashe to leave the women alone, at which point Rashe pulled a 12-inch-long knife and walked toward the other man.
Then an employee of the wine bar joined the group outside, where he saw four women and the man who tried to help frozen in place as Rashe held the knife in a fighting stance.
The employee pulled a handgun and ordered Rashe to drop the knife and hit the ground.
When police arrived they found Rashe held at gunpoint.
