Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke minced no words in blasting President Barack Obama’s highly politicized response to Wednesday’s horrifying on-air murders of two TV journalists in Virginia.
“Here’s my challenge to the president of the United States,” the Wisconsin sheriff said Thursday night on Fox News’ “Hannity.”
“You think this is so easy? Forgo your Secret Service protection for you, for the first lady and your children, and see what it’s like to have to defend yourself,” Clarke said.
“And then we’ll sit down and have a conversation so you know what we here at ground level have to deal with on a daily base in terms of self-defense.”
The president down here with the little people? Not likely.
“This was a chance for the president to bring the country together, and once again the divider-in-chief goes out and further separates us,” Clarke said.
“Shame on the left, shame on the Democrats for once again exploiting misery and tragedy to pursue a political agenda,” Clarke said. “Shame on the president of the United States to invoke terrorism into this horrific incident that happened in Virginia.”
Clarke railed against the left wing for trying to exploit Wednesday’s shocking murders to supersede the Constitution.
Clarke held up a copy of the Constitution as he spoke. He said it cannot prevent all horrific events from happening.
“So, if we’re trying to make this absolute, that none of these things will ever happen again, we’re working on the wrong thing, because unfortunately, the world we live in, with the evil that exists, it’s going to happen,” Clarke said.
