Introductions to a mandatory safe storage act nationwide. It is not our government's place to tell the citizens how to safeguard or store our firearms. There are already statutes on the books to ensure we are not endangering anyone. This legislation is about control and forcing their ideals on everyone else.
Title: Safe Gun Storage Act of 2021
Subject: Commerce: Administrative law and regulatory procedures: Consumer Product Safety Commission: Firearms and explosives: Product safety and quality
Description: Requires safety standards for firearm locks and safes. Under such standards, firearm locks must be reasonably designed to (1) prevent the firearm from discharging while the lock is activated, and (2) prevent unauthorized access to the firearm. Further, firearm safes must be reasonably designed to (1) secure firearms, and (2) prevent unauthorized access to the safe through physical manipulation or damage.
