Title: Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives regarding the relationships between firearm violence, misogyny, and violence against women and reaffirming the importance of preventing individuals with a history of violence against women from accessing a firearm.

Subject: Crime and law enforcement: Assault and harassment offenses: Crime prevention: Crimes against women: Domestic violence and child abuse: Firearms and explosives: Sex, gender, sexual orientation discrimination: Violent crime: Criminal justice information and records

Description: This resolution affirms that reducing access to a firearm for individuals with a history of violence against women is critical to reducing the fatality of intimate partner violence in the United States. Additionally, it calls on the Senate to immediately consider the following: H.B. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019; H.B. 1112, the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2019; and H.B. 1585, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2019.
