PICS is on the way out-but only if you help :: 03/06/2013

I just now go off the phone with Rep.Krieger's office. PICS elimination in favor of NICS, saving some 7 million dollars of Pennsylvania tax dollars annually, is on a fast track, but it needs your help. I sent this note out to a few members, and I'm asking you to take action

Its time for some more heavy lifting for some of you, and much lighter lifting for others. Rep. Krieger's bill to eliminate PICS and replace it with NICS, saving Pennsylvanians some 7 million dollars annually, has just now been assigned a bill number. It is HB 921 http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/billinfo/bill_history.cfm?syear=2013&sind=0&body=H&type=B&bn=921 , and is already co-sponsored by Speaker S. H. SMITH , Majority Leader TURZAI , METCALFE , SACCONE , BLOOM , MILLARD , LUCAS , KAUFFMAN , DUNBAR , REESE , TALLMAN , NEUMAN , KORTZ , MUSTIO , STEVENSON , ROAE , BARRAR , GROVE , METZGAR , ROCK , GIBBONS , GABLER , GINGRICH , STERN , C. HARRIS , CAUSER , JAMES , SANKEY , MARSHALL , SNYDER , AUMENT , EVERETT , PYLE , F. KELLER and MILLER .

I've copied our friend, Rep. Maher (R-40th), as he has expressed his willingness to co-sponsor this legislation. I'm hopeful that with the support of the Speaker and the Majority Leader, this long overdue legislation fast tracks through the House and Senate, but it won't happen without YOUR HELP. Please contact your representative at once, asking them to co-sponsor this legislation, HB 921. I cannot think of one reason why this legislation doesn't have at least 100 co-sponsors within a week of this e-mail.

Most Sincerely Yours,

John F. DeLallo, Jr., MSgt, USAFR (ret.)
