PA-Police arrest felon in Fountain Hill, recover bag full of guns and ammo :: 03/23/2016
FOUNTAIN HILL — After a report of suspicious activity Monday in Fountain Hill, police arrested a felon and seized a bag full of guns and ammunition from his car, according to court records.
Michael A. Lombardo, 47, of Glendon has several past felony convictions, including one for burglary in New Jersey, and is not allowed to have a gun, police said. Two of the guns recovered from his car were stolen, police said.
Fountain Hill police were dispatched at 4:04 p.m. to the 700 block of North Clewell Street to investigate a call about suspicious activity. Lombardo initially raised his arms and cooperated with police, but as officers talked to another person at the scene, he walked away, records show.
Police stopped him at Delaware Avenue and North Bishopthorpe Street and recovered a car key from him, records show. Inside, police found a duffel bag containing three handguns, loaded magazines and ammunition, records show. One of the guns was stolen from Bangor and another from Wilson, police said.
Lombardo was charged with three weapons violations and two counts of receiving stolen property. He was arraigned by District Judge Ron Manescu and sent to Lehigh County Jail under $75,000 bail.
