PA Concealed-carry holder accidentally shoots himself :: 02/28/2015
LANCASTER – A 26-year-old concealed carry permit holder allegedly shot himself leaving his home on North Cedar Avenue on Monday.
The Lancaster man was taken to Fairfield Medical Center after suffering a gunshot wound to his left hand, according to police reports. The round reportedly went through the fingers of his left hand as he was placing the gun into his sweatshirt pocket.
He told Lancaster police that he was on his way out the door to sell the gun when it went off. The man’s girlfriend witnessed the incident, according to the report. Police collected the loaded handgun as evidence and sent a copy of the report to the prosecutor’s office for review.
