Ohio Self-Defense: Police: 1 dead in possible OTR self-defense shooting :: 03/10/2016
A man who shot and killed another man in Over-the-Rhine Wednesday night is claiming it was in self-defense, Cincinnati police said.
Police identified James Mixon, 31, as the man killed in the shooting, which occurred in the 1600 block of Vine Street around 10 p.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.
An unidentified person told police he shot the deceased in self-defense during an attempted robbery, said Brown. He was taken into police custody and questioned. No arrests have been made.
The Hamilton County Coroner ruled Mixon's death as a homicide.
