Ohio Self-Defense: Gas station employee shot trespasser :: 11/23/2015

A gas station employee shot a man who pulled a gun and refused to leave the store Friday night, police said.

Cincinnati police responded to the Marathon gas station, located at 3431 Warsaw Avenue, around 7:45 p.m. to reports of an armed robbery.

Two employees told police William Comer, 48, pulled a gun on them when they asked him to leave the gas station. One of the employees shot Comer after seeing the weapon, which was later determined to be a pellet gun, police said.

The gas station employee reportedly fired at least one shot, according to emergency communications. Comer fled the scene on foot. Police did not confirm the extent of his injuries.

Around 15 minutes later, officers responded to 1028 Del Monte Place and found a person shot. Officers arrested Comer at the same location but did not confirm that he was the person shot.

Comer was arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center around 11:43 p.m. He is accused of aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing. Comer is scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
