Julianne Moore Comes Unglued for Gun Control, Reveals She Knows Nothing About 2nd Amendment :: 12/30/2017
Hollywood liberals continue to act as if they are the experts on guns, but actress Julianne Moore proved that she has no earthly idea what she is talking about when it comes to the Second Amendment.
In October, Moore joined the panel on ABC’s “The View” to promote herself as the new champion of gun safety, arguing that gun control and gun rights in America aren’t “a Second Amendment issue.”
“You know, people like to talk about it as if it’s a Second Amendment issue,” Moore said, adding that she has worked closely with the group Everytown for Gun Safety, a left-wing group that pushes for extreme gun control measures.
Moore went on to compare gun safety measures to seat belt laws, further proving she has no idea what she is talking about.
“When cars were introduced we had any number of fatalities because we didn’t have safety regulations – we didn’t have seat belts and speed limits and airbags — so we’re asking for those same kinds of things with guns — registration, licensing, background checks … limitations on the number of firearms you can own,” Moore said.

Completely unmentioned by the panel was that seat belt laws are not a protected right listed in the U.S. Constitution, but the “right to bear arms” is explicit in the Second Amendment.
The Founding Fathers who wrote that document were well aware of the dangers of disarming a population and leaving it at the mercy of criminals or a potentially tyrannical government.
Moore also called for background checks — which are already in place, but the panel also failed to fact check her on that — and argued that reducing the number of guns in the U.S. would benefit public safety.

Ironically, Moore’s comments on reducing guns in America came as she was promoting her new movie titled, “Kingsmen: Golden Circle,” which has 118 incidents of gun violence, 70 of them feature fully automatic weapons, according to the The Caily Caller.
This is a classic leftist talking point: Taking away guns — thereby infringing on American’s Second Amendment rights — will result in fewer shootings.
What it will do is take tools out of the hands of law-abiding Americans and leave them defenseless against criminals.

Hollywood liberals like Moore apparently have no idea what it means to attack the Second Amendment, and her supposed “expertise” on guns proves she has no idea what she’s talking about on this issue.
