FOAC's Weekly Message For Sunday April 26th 2020 :: 04/26/2020

We are fast approaching the June 2, 2020 Primary Election and with all of this coronavirus craziness this has been one of the most chaoticand unpredictable primary elections that I can remember, especially in interacting with the candidates! I find myself constantly shaking my head, after 30 years of being involved in politics, at the lack of preparation of candidates running for office on the issues. If anything, it’s gotten worse!

As an example, our questionnaire asks definitive and probing questions with the desire to see if candidates will take the opportunity to use all of the technological diversity of the current age at their disposal to educate themselves considering the complexity of the gun control debate as well as the intermingled Second Amendment issues. Don’t you think that’s a fair expectation? Perhaps it’s just me, but I marvel at the shallowness of candidate’s thoughts on issues. I only wish each one of you could hear just how unprepared so very many of these candidates are to deal with the countervailing forces in Harrisburg and DC!

The FOAC voter guide process is 95% complete and virtually every race and district has been accounted for, examined and finalized. There are a few stragglers which we continue to update on a daily basis. We would ask that should you see anything that one of our “recommended” candidates says in public or in any other venue regarding firearms or anything connected to the Second Amendment please do let us know. It wouldn’t be the first time one of these candidates went behind the scenes in said things to pander to both sides of this debate and then was reported by a second amendment advocate to us.

This could be noted the sacrificial lamb department: There are some in government, most notably our governor and the anti-gun groups that prop him up, who seem to forget that gun control is a two-edged sword and one edge is much sharper than the other! Further, the ability of citizens to get a LTCF has real life and real-world consequences! An example of this can be found is the occurrence this week of a Montgomery County area food delivery driver, trying to make ends meet for his family, who found himself in the middle of a gun fight without a gun! His name is William Copper and his incident can be found at this link: https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/delivery-driver-caught-in-gunfire-nearly-struck-by-bullets/2367587/

In complying with Pennsylvania law that does not allow you to possess a firearm outside your home right now unless you have an LTCF Mr. Copper found himself unable to get a LTCF to protect himself and as you’ll see in the video ends up running down the street for his life after his car gets shot to pieces and now he can’t work. It seems his Sheriff, Sheriff Kilkenny, is making no allowance for individuals to get an LTCF like many other sheriffs have been doing.

So, here’s a question, when government disarm citizens and places them in harms way why are they not responsible for their lives if they feign responsibility now because of a virus? Somebody please quickly tell me how there is a difference! I do know there’s a difference because the virus is unavoidable but the intentional actions of a government agent and officer to deny a constitutional right is reprehensible!

But hey, what is one more life on the altar of political correctness?

**Meeting notice: The May FOAC Membership Meeting (May 10th) will be held once again online for all members and interested Second Amendment advocates. As we noted last month, because of the stay-at-home order of Gov. Wolf, and in consideration of everyone’s health, we have found it necessary to cancel the in-person meeting and will be holding May’s meeting totally online.

Do you know gun owners who are 'NOT' an FOAC member yet?  We need every gun owner to join together in this fight NOW more than ever!  Please help us help defend the 2nd Amendment by reaching out to your fellow gun owners and encouraging them to get involved!

Is the Coronavirus Crisis Being Used as an Opportunity by Dems to Facilitate Election Fraud?

Seeking to push the crisis stirred by the China Virus to its fullest extent, congressional Democrats are trying to enact their agenda by other means. For decades, Democrats on the municipal, state, and federal levels have done everything possible to strip away voter laws. They have consistently claimed theirs is an effort to broaden the registered voter base, reverse disenfranchisement of minorities, and get more Americans involved. In truth, every leftist proposal is designed to make the voting process easier to manipulate and bend to an outcome favorable to their ends, not to secure and promote responsible voting.

Democrats and their propaganda wing, also known as the mainstream media, consistently argue that voter fraud doesn’t exist. They regularly challenge in court attempts to clean county and state voter rolls of dead people and convicted felons. There are numerous attempts in several states to register illegal immigrants to vote, and Democrats across the board patently refuse to accept any laws that require identification at polling locations. These issues constantly wind their way through the courts, with Democrats fighting bitterly to prevent any attempt to make voting more secure.

Proponents of vote-by-mail point to the fact that it is more widespread than people realize. That should not be comforting to anybody. There have already been many examples in just the last few years that have proven beyond doubt that voting by mail is not a secure method of conducting elections. Post-election analyses in multiple state- and lower-level elections around the country have found that those elections decided by mail-in balloting produced inclusive and even fraudulent results.

Mail-in ballots are much easier to fake or hide than a ballot recorded at a polling station. While most poll workers tasked with counting mail-in ballots are upstanding citizens doing their civic duty, it only takes a few well-placed crooked counters in a well-established crooked county or city to swing a district and ultimately an election with fraudulent counts.

Even if one discounts how easy it is to manipulate mail votes once they’re in the counting room, there are numerous other reasons why national vote-by-mail for the 2020 election will yield disaster. Let’s start with the U.S. Postal Service. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission found in the 2016 presidential election that more mailed-in ballots were misdirected or unaccounted for through the mail than the margin of votes between the two presidential candidates. For every vote Hillary Clinton won nationally, more than two ballots ended up going nowhere and were never returned because of bad addresses or any number of other reasons.

Additionally, switching to a national vote-by-mail scheme for a presidential election that is barely six months away in a country with approximately 160 million registered voters is just asking for trouble. Even The New York Times, which as one might expect is all for the idea, concedes, “Given the decentralized structure of American elections, which are governed by states, counties and even municipalities, shifting to a federally mandated, completely vote-by-mail system for the general election could be impossible both logistically and legislatively.”

The funding is not available to make it work smoothly in so short a time, and the checks and balances are nonexistent — which of course suits Democrats just fine. But even if this mound of evidence is unconvincing, just consider the fact that the idea has support from virtually every elected Democrat in this country and a vast majority of the mainstream media. That should be enough to make plain that national vote-by-mail should not be allowed to happen.

Many Are Asking-Is Now the Time for Responsible Civil Disobedience?

As a responsible father, brother, son, husband, veteran, neighbor, I'm capable of balancing the needs of the community with what I determine to be essential in my life and won't leave that up to any government official any time soon, if ever. We, as a family, will determine whatever it is that needs to be done, not some governor, mayor, or any other tyrant in training.

There are those who will tell us that not everyone is responsible and therefore must be “ordered” by the government to do certain things.

My response? There are always irresponsible people who do reckless things no matter the situation. You can't fix stupid, and criminals still break the law. We are a free nation, and we don't give up our liberties, our freedoms, and our way of life because of the actions of those moronic morons. If we did, we no longer have our rights, our freedoms, or our way of life.

Why is it that the very same government that is telling us to stay locked in our homes from a virus doesn’t take or accept responsibility for protecting us from criminals, especially the ones they are releasing now were going out and committing more crimes?

For years I have said that if we continue to allow these officials unconstitutional access to our way of life, eventually good, decent, hard-working people are going to have to make some terrible decisions. That time is upon us. Many are being forced to decide whether they will violate these unconstitutional power grabs and risk arrest for merely heading over to mom's house for a brief well-check visit and a good home-cooked meal. For many of us, the family is the only thing keeping us sane right now. People are asking whether it's OK inviting Barb and Harry for a gathering at the fire pit on a fresh spring Friday evening for a round of chilly beers and some grilled chicken wings.

That's never a crime in America no matter what some tyrant may decide.

All aspects of our lives can be balanced with responsibility. We can sit a little farther apart at the fire pit by moving our lawn chairs over. We can make individual runs to the cooler for our beers. (some folks will probably love not hearing, “honey can you grab me another beer?”) When we go about our own essential business, even if it's buying mulch for the front yard, we can practice safe distancing, maybe choosing to wear a mask and avoiding certain types of situations that aren't necessary to buying mulch, for example.

Tyrants hate that we can make our own decisions. We must get back to normal as soon as possible, even if it means violating a tyrannical order. Apparently, in Tyrant-land, USA, heading to Home Depot for mulch is now considered civil disobedience.

Desperate Brady Anti-Gun Group Draws a Stupid and Irrational Analogy between Gun Stores and McDonald's

“Let's be clear, gun stores are NOT McDonald's,” the Brady Campaign asserts in a transparently ridiculous attempt to deceive its low information Facebook followers. “You shouldn't be able to buy an AR-15 like you do a burger and fries.”

Let’s be clear: You can’t. Just as first-time gun owners are finding out they can’t just “buy a gun online” and they’re not easier to get than “books” and “vegetables,” all state and federal infringements that the gun-grabbers have insisted on still apply.

The Brady Campaign KNOWS this. They’re just flailing about with lie after lie to those uninformed enough to keep them staying ignorant and falling for increasingly desperate gun-grabber lies. That becomes even more apparent reading the “press release” their Facebook post links to that elaborates on what they’re whining about this time.

“Brady condemns new ATF guidance for gun stores, ‘unsafe and indulgent,’” the headline scolds. “The Administration has used broad interpretations of the federal Gun Control Act to suggest that FFLs conduct business at a drive-by or walk-up window as if they were a McDonalds, or at a temporary table or booth, as if they were a lemonade stand, removing the protective influence that responsible gun dealers can have on stopping the proliferation of crime guns and on educating gun owners about the risks of guns and how to mitigate them.”

You’d think an organization claiming to be about “safety” would approve of measures encouraging “social distancing” to protect customer and employee lives, but as we’ve seen time and again from the contempt gun-grabbers display, it’s clear gun owner safety is not a priority. That’s hardly a surprise to those who are on to their ways, as writer L. Neil Smith so brutally (and correctly) observed in his classic 2000 essay, “Murder by Gun Control”:

“Make no mistake: you victim disarmament types are sick, sick people, in the words of T.D. Melrose, who'd rather see a woman raped in an alley and strangled with her own pantyhose than see her with a gun in her hand.”

That’s just another reason why letting Democrats gain a majority in November will spell “Put up or shut up” time for gun owners who are quick to say “Molon Labe!” while simultaneously decrying the uselessness of voting. As maddening as that process is, one needs only return to the Brady Facebook post and read some of the comments by their useful idiot following to remove all doubt as to how their votes will be driven by ignorance and bias.

“I just bought a fried chicken dinner at a drive through,” one representative cud-chewer bleats. “Buying a gun should be a lot harder than buying lunch.”

You can find plenty more idiotic assertions like these. Just realize: Like all cult members, the self-deluded are not inclined to have open minds and be approachable with anything as mundane as the truth.

Expanding on Stupidity Giffords Anti-Gun Group Says: You Don't Need Guns Cause “the Zombies Aren't Coming"

The FBI performed a record-breaking 3.7 million firearm-related background checks last month. According to an April news release from Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting (SAAF), March 2020 estimates of firearm sales show an increase of over 85% from March 2019 – single handgun sales jumped by 91%, and single long-gun sales increased by over 73%.

In an interview with Cheddar news earlier this month, David Chipman, a “senior policy advisor” for the vitriolic anti-gun group Giffords, was asked about his “biggest concerns” regarding the “coronavirus gun sales spike.” (If the name rings a bell, Mr. Chipman, formerly a “senior advisor” with Bloomberg’s pre-Everytown group MAIG and an ex-ATF agent, has, among other things, advocated that AR-15 rifles should be regulated “just like” fully automatic machine guns.)

During the interview, he claimed that first-time gun owners may think “in their [own] mind they might be competent.” However, they were really “putting themselves and their families in danger” based on whether these guns were being “stored safely” and properly in the home. Sitting in what appeared to be his own kitchen, Chipman advised “those people who were first-time gun owners” to “secure that gun locked and unloaded and hide it behind the cans of tuna and beef jerky that you’ve stored in a cabinet and only bring that out if the zombies start to appear, and I don’t think they are.”

Of course, following this advice means that the firearm isn’t readily available for self-defense should the need arise. (Hiding firearms among the kitchen cabinets, the refrigerator’s vegetable drawer or in the flour bin also isn’t consistent with the Giffords philosophy of mandating that all unattended firearms be kept unloaded, with a lock-in place, and secured in a gun safe or other locked container.)

The real issue – apart from why anyone would take the advice of someone who thinks beef jerky comes in cans – is Chipman’s apparent incredulity at the need to keep guns in the home for self-defense. So much for respecting individual liberties from an agent of an agency that has notoriously trampled on the rights of the accused as well as lost a significant number of firearms over the years without so much as a peep from him then!

California, A Witch’s Cauldron Brew of Common Sense and Constitutional Insanity

‘Constitutionally Defective’ - was the Judge’s Ruling in the California Ammo Case as he eviscerated that law. Judge Benitez has ruled California's background check requirement for purchasing ammunition violates the Second Amendment.

Buried halfway through the 120-page ruling by U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez that California’s background check requirement for ammunition purchases violates the Second Amendment are five words that cut to the core of gun control laws across the country.

“Criminals don’t do background checks.”

The remark is on Page 69 of the Benitez ruling, which declares the California ammunition requirement “constitutionally defective,” and it is perhaps a fitting spot. It is at the middle—the core—of a ruling that will likely be appealed to the Ninth Circuit Court in San Francisco, but in the meantime Golden State gun owners are cheering, albeit cautiously.

The case is known as Rhode v. Becerra, named for the chief plaintiff, Olympic Gold Medalist and California resident Kim Rhode. The case was brought in response to Proposition 63, passed by California voters in 2016.

“As the court said, ‘The right to keep and bear arms is the insurance policy behind the right to life…a shield from the tyranny of the majority.' California wasn’t just obstructing the people’s fundamental right to defend their families and lives—it was encouraging unlawful hostility toward an individual, Constitutional right,” said Jason Ouimet, executive director, National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action in a prepared statement. “The NRA funded this case for the same reason the court struck down the laws: enough was enough.”

The Associated Press quoted Hannah Shearer, litigation director for the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, calling the ruling “a dangerous step in the wrong direction.”

Most reports are focusing on the judge’s opening remark: “The experiment has been tried. The casualties have been counted. California’s new ammunition background check law misfires and the Second Amendment rights of California citizens have been gravely injured.”

But there is much more in Judge Benitez’ lengthy decision, and one must read carefully to find it all.

Judge Benitez further notes, “To be clear, at this point in the case, the evidence does not fairly support the notion of Proposition 63 that background check and anti-importation provisions for ammunition acquisition will make the public safer.”

He hammers one more nail into the coffin on Page 95, and it might stand as a lesson to state governments everywhere, if his ruling is upheld.

“Government is not free to impose its own pure policy choices on American citizens where Constitutional rights are concerned. As Heller explains, the Second Amendment takes certain policy choices and removes them beyond the realm of state action.”

Last-minute update: not to be outdone the infamous Ninth Circuit federal court reinstated California’s background checks on ammunition purchases, at least for now after the Court of Appeals on Friday granted an emergency request by state Attorney General Xavier Becerra.

We're sure all of the criminals in California applauded this action!

Biden Website Reveals Alarming Gun Control Agenda

Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden has plans for American gun owners that are spelled out in a 3,100-word agenda found on his campaign website that includes a ban on so-called “assault weapons,” background checks on all gun sales and transfers, restrictions on the number of firearms someone can buy in a month, “safe storage” and enough other red tape to turn the right to keep and bear arms into a heavily-regulated privilege.

The former vice president, now said to be considering a female running mate since he is virtually assured of winning the nomination—which a majority of Democrats appear to favor, according to a recent Rasmussen survey—insists he will follow “constitutional, common-sense gun safety policies.”

Here are some of the highlights found in his campaign literature:

  • Put America on the path to ensuring that 100% of firearms sold in America are smart guns. Biden believes we should work to eventually require that 100% of firearms sold in the U.S. are smart guns.

There’s more, much more, but near the top of his agenda, Biden says he will “Get weapons of war off our streets.” There are all kinds of proposals to make it more difficult for law-abiding gun owners to remain “law-abiding.”

On the heels of a mass shooting rampage in Canada, a nation with some of the strictest gun laws in the hemisphere - laws the gun prohibition lobby would like this country to emulate, were it not for the troublesome Second Amendment - Biden’s gun control agenda is unlikely to win any converts in the firearms community, and it will give U.S. gun owners plenty to think about as November draws closer and even more to think about after the election if they make the wrong choice.

Anti-gun Groups Hysteria Stoking Another Way to Discourage Gun Ownership

“Gun safety groups concerned about the increase of unintentional child shootings during stay-at-home order,” a recent Arizona Republic opinion piece masked as news ominously warns. “[A]ctivists question whether gun owners are following safety guidelines and properly storing their guns to eliminate the risk of children finding them and accidentally injuring themselves or someone else.”

Of course they do.  Because they’re not really “gun safety groups,” they’re gun-grab groups. And because it’s another talking point, they’re signaling the useful idiots to parrot.

**And if a home invader doesn't practice social distancing or doesn't want to wait for you to unlock and assemble an effective response…? (Everytown for Gun Safety/Facebook)

These anti-gun groups learned long ago that announcing their true intentions impedes manipulation of the uninformed, and that nothing works better on the cud-chewers than “For the children.” Keeping children ignorant actually puts them in more danger, but that won't be acknowledged because safety isn’t what these anti-gun power-hungry frauds pulling useful idiot strings to bring about a “monopoly of violence” are really after.

COVID-19 realities have caused many Americans to reconsider their position on gun ownership, and it upsets them seeing their agenda set back. So, the gun-grabbers are doubling down on what they do best—stoking fear with misdirection. And naturally, a paper that is “part of the USA Today Network,” that is, a Gannett Publication, is happy to help.

That’s the same outfit that violated its own ethics policies by outing and thus endangering gun owners in New York some years back (and then retained armed guards after experiencing an outraged backlash).  It’s the same outfit that allowed columnist Donald Kaul, in its Des Moines holding, to advocate dragging the Republican leadership from the back of a truck and repealing the Second Amendment, along with these “commonsense gun safety” measures:

“Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that ‘prying the guns from their cold, dead hands’ thing works for me.”

Gannett Publications is not interested in gun safety and employs no one qualified to offer lessons if it was to. No one wants to see children killed by irresponsible and ignorant gun owner actions and negligence, but that needs to be put in perspective, as is done in the excellent Gun Facts resource. Note we don’t see many “mainstream” editorials demanding laws to ban automobiles, household chemicals, and swimming pools.

We also need to understand that it’s a calculated and intentional lie to equate risks for all households with risks from criminal households, where destructive behaviors and associations heighten dangers.

It’s almost like they’re banking on self-fulfilling prophecies involving child deaths so that they can get more media coverage for “We told you so” gloating.

In the I CAN’T BE THIS STUPID Category: California Legislator Presses Governor to Suspend ALL Gun/Ammo Sales

Democrat State Assemblyman Miguel Santiago, however, has officially requested that the Governor suspend all firearm and ammunition sales, citing the perpetuation of a “cycle of public panic and impulsive action.”

See the letter circulated among his colleagues for supportive signatures HERE.

Rather than encouraging citizens to protect their homes and families with a firearm, Santiago has another idea: he says we should be armed with “strong safeguards on public health and safety.”

Last we checked, social distancing from an armed intruder is not going to help anyone, and a mask offers zero protection from the spread of looting or any other crime for that matter.

Santiago’s request of the Governor is intended to stoke public fear and anxiety. It is not only reckless, but it is also tyrannical.

A growing number of law-abiding citizens have been forced to realize that they are their own first line of defense – particularly in a pandemic when resources are strained. Covid-19 is exposing all manner of tyrants, with mayors, legislators and judges believing their authority has no limits but our freedoms embodied in the Constitution do. This is outrageous!

Trump Administration Targets Biggest Gun-Free Zones-Army Corps of Engineers Lands & Waters

The Trump Administration published a proposed rule to end a ban on the possession of firearms in water resource development projects administered by the Army Corps of Engineers (ACE).

These areas comprise one of the largest networks of outdoor recreation sites in America, encompassing more than 400 lake and river projects in 43 states. Activities that occur on these sites include hiking, boating, fishing, camping, hunting, and geocaching.

Currently, regulations pertaining to these areas authorize the use and possession of firearms only for specified purposes, including hunting or at designated shooting ranges, or with written permission from the District Commander who has jurisdiction over the area in question.

The otherwise lawful possession of firearms, including for self-defense, is effectively banned.

For decades, the Corps of Engineers (COE) has infringed on the Second Amendment rights of people in the United States, by limiting the bearing of arms on Corps managed lands and waters. In the last decade, lawsuits have challenged these infringements. The Corps lost one, appealed, and appealed another. After the election of President Trump, the Corps agreed to settle the lawsuits in March of 2017. The proposed rule simply aligns the Corps of Engineers rules with existing law on other government-managed lands and waters.

Not only does this policy infringe the Second Amendment rights of visitors to these areas, as has been recognized by Morris v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, No. 3:13-CV-00336-BLW (D. Idaho Oct. 13, 2014, it is at odds with policies governing firearms that apply on other types of federal recreational lands.

The National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the U.S. Forest Service ALL recognize a right to possess firearms on lands under their authority, consistent with the laws of the states in which those lands are located.

Meanwhile, federal statutory law continues to prohibit the possession of firearms in “federal facilities” (i.e., buildings where federal employees regularly perform their official duties), a restriction that would not be changed by the pending rulemaking.

As proposed, the rule would allow visitors to possess and transport firearms on ACE water resource development project lands and waters, provided they are not prohibited by law from possessing firearms and the possession or transportation is otherwise in compliance with applicable laws.

This commonsense provision would abolish an existing gun-free zone on 12 million acres of public lands and waters nationwide, including 55,390 miles of shoreline, 7,856 miles of trails, 92,588 campsites, and 3,754 boat ramps.

IF you would like to add your comments, they may be filed in support of the rule at Regulations.govSubmissions/Comments are due by June 12, 2020.

Gun Control Quote of the Week: From Mother Jones Online Criticism of Pres. Trump: Journalistic custom requires us to pretend that this is not a call to insurrection but rather an unfortunate case of “rank partisanship.” But Trump on Friday evening left little doubt what he was getting at in the tweets. They were directed at three Democratic governors in three states that are battlegrounds only in the metaphorical sense, for now. He said that certain lockdown measures were “too tough.” But when pressed on his “LIBERATE” tweets he cited gun control legislation recently signed by Gov. Ralph Northam. As we’ve reported, those controls were long expected. In fact, they helped turn the state legislature blue in the NRA’s backyard.

“They want to take their guns away,” Trump explained of his tweets. “That’s the Second Amendment. That’s Virginia. You have a governor—I guess he should be under siege. He seems not to be. If he were a Republican, he would be under siege. But he seems to have escaped something that is really bad…So when you talk about ‘liberate’ or ‘liberation,’ you can certainly look at Virginia.”

https://www.motherjones.com/coronavirus-updates/2020/04/trump-says-virginias-democratic-governor-should-be-under-siege/

1st Point to Ponder: David Chipman, Senior Policy Advisor at the Giffords organization said hopelessness, anxiety and fear might cause people to try to use firearms to control some aspect of their lives as they are inundated with concerning news about COVID-19, “but there are risks to that choice.”

2nd Point to Ponder: Ever since the election of Barack Obama fueled appetites for anti-government conspiracy theories, this new breed of gun fundamentalist has eagerly embraced a belief in “constitutional carry,” an innovative dogma that insists citizens have a Second Amendment right to carry any weaponry anywhere, without training or licensing. Unsurprisingly, in this atmosphere, machine guns—preferred by gangsters, effectively banned by a stroke of Ronald Reagan’s pen, and consistently considered taboo by most Americans—now have more advocates than ever.

– Adam Weinstein in A Shot in Hell: Should Las Vegas’s machine-gun rental industry be the future liberals want for assault weapons?

3rd Point to Ponder: Alan Dershowitz on Due Process & Presumption of Innocence (think ERPO Laws): The presumption of innocence is real and important. It cannot be invoked selectively only for certain crimes. If you reject it for one, you reject it for all.

. . . . We cannot know whether a person is guilty or innocent without a fair process.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/alan-dershowitz-mccarthyism-harvard-winthrop-house-sullivan-weinstein

4th Point to Ponder: This is a key reason showing how Virginia got to the point where the majority has managed to turn the state Democrat and anti-gun. Even The New York Times recognizes what too many in “gun rights leadership” fail to even acknowledge, which those who want your guns are exploiting to full advantage:

“How Voters Turned Virginia From Deep Red to Solid Blue…Unlike three decades ago, the residents are often from other places, like India and Korea. And when they vote, it is often for Democrats.”

No matter what others tell you, and always without addressing this challenge, the issues of guns and immigration are inextricably intertwined. “A” grades and endorsements for candidates who vote “right” on guns, but then undo those votes when immigration policies they support come to fruition mean ultimately if that does not change there will be no voting our way out of this.

This same situation is headed the Pennsylvania in seven months so ask yourself “are you up to the challenge”? Virginia gun owners were not! Remember friends, there are 5 million+ Pennsylvania gunowners and we win if we just get involved!

FOCUS on Recent Federal Anti-Gun Legislation: The Urban Progress Act of 2020-HR 6318

Omnibus bills are often tools that can be used for all sorts of mischief. They end up being behemoths that nobody can really read, much less understand, in time to make an informed vote. That means all sorts of stuff can be slipped in there… and to paraphrase what Nancy Pelosi once said, you don’t find out what’s in there until it’s passed.

HR 6318, The Urban Progress Act, introduced by Representative Robin Kelly (D-IL), is one of those omnibus bills. The good news is, it’s been recently introduced, and with the text online, we can locate the problematic aspects of this bill, and expose them to the disinfectant of sunlight.

Kelly is now seeking a host of punishments and infringements on those who are not committing the crimes.

Kelly also wants a “public health” report – and you can bet who would be writing that report: Anti-Second Amendment extremists using their status as doctors to attack our rights. It’s the old Violence Policy Center playbook.

Kelly’s bill also adds new disqualifications, some of which are so nebulous as to be landmines for those already owning firearms. While it does have provisions to make sure all disqualifying convictions are in the National Instant Check System, it also permits an indefinite waiting period for delays (from the current three business day limit). All in all, hidden in this omnibus bill are some real underhanded and insidious attacks on our rights.

Founding Father’s Statement on Freedom: "[O]f all the views of this law none is more important, none more legitimate, than that of rendering the people the safe, as they are the ultimate, guardians of their own liberty. ... History by apprising them of the past will enable them to judge of the future; it will avail them of the experience of other times and other nations; it will qualify them as judges of the actions and designs of men; it will enable them to know ambition under every disguise it may assume; and knowing it, to defeat its views." Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia, Query 14, 1781

Yours in Freedom!

Kim Stolfer, President
