Dems circle wagons on Gunrunner, float perennial gun ban agenda :: 06/16/2011
Before the dust settled on yesterday's opening hearing on the controversial Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furious scandal now plaguing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Democrats were already busy with their defense strategy, which once again demonizes American gun owners and their constitutional rights.
The Spokane Spokesman-Review picked up the Associated Press report about what may be the first salvo from the Democrat side of the aisle. It remains to be seen what they may offer up prior to Wednesday morning's second hearing before Congressman Darrell Issa's House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, but it better be good. Scheduled to testify tomorrow are Senator Charles Grassley, who launched the Gunrunner probe, and three ATF agents including whistleblower John Dodson.
