Arizona Self-Defense: Homeowner shoots would-be burglar :: 11/18/2016
BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say an 18-year-old man has been shot after allegedly trying to break into a residence in Buckeye, west of Phoenix.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials said the burglar was shot by one of the homeowners about 1 p.m. Wednesday.
They said the homeowners returned to see an unknown vehicle parked in front of their house.
The homeowners confronted the man upon entering the house, a struggle ensued and the man was shot several times.
Authorities said the man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The name of the man wasn’t immediately released.
