Alabama: Armed Robbers Thought They Would Have an Easy Time Against a Couple Walking Home, Until the Man Pulled Out a Gun :: 11/20/2014
When a group of armed men approached the wrong couple in Hartford, AL Friday night, one of the robbers got more than he bargained for, compliments of a concealed carrier.
The robbers fled in panic after seeing the husband’s gun, but not before the husband fired an accurate round in self-defense, WTVY reports.
Police say the husband…fired one shot at a group of men, hitting one in the nose. His injuries are non-life threatening.
After speaking with District Attorney Kirke Adams, Chief Ward says the incident is being ruled a justified, self defense shooting. No charges have been filed at this time.
The robbery could have easily ended the way the armed men had hoped it would. Thankfully for the couple, though, it didn’t have to.
