Ilinois Carry Law-Readers Digest Version :: 07/12/2013

Looks like if you have 300 bucks, you might be able to secure permission from Illinois to lawfully carry there. We think the Illinois legislature has a lot of tweaking to do. We still do not like the idea of paying for a right guaranteed to us by the Constitution.

Mental Health Community resists reporting. :: 07/11/2013

We know of only one member of Congress, Rep. Tim Murphy, who is vehemently opposed to the attitude shown by the mental health community. He's had town hall meetings all over his district, seeking input on the correlationbetween Violence and Mental Illness. This article shows what he, a mental health care professional himself, is up against. In short, the liberal mindset in mental health is more apt to blame the gun than the violently mentally ill.

Illinois Governor Quinn is forced to listen to the will of the People. :: 07/11/2013

While Quinn insists he's running for a second term as Governor of Illinois, and also insists he'll get his way on guns, the Illinois legislature and the Citizens of Illinois have been heard. We think Quinn is out of touch, and certainly out of political capital.

Ever wonder how many guns are out there? :: 07/10/2013

We did, and we wondered, too, how gun ownership for personal protection broke down along gender, and by political party affiliation. We all know that the fastest growing segment of firearms owners are women, but read the article, and be surprised by how many Democrats own firearms for protection. This is a long, but interesting read.

National Shooting Sports Foundation files suit against Connecticut :: 07/09/2013

We think the NSSF has legitimate argument. Gun laws passed in the middle of the night, in the heat of passion, won't work. We are a Nation of Laws, and Connecticut can't arbitrarily abandon due process at the expense of We the People.

Chicago-Where Gun Laws Work!! :: 07/09/2013

The really telling part of this article is the comment by a 2nd Ward Alderman, who insisted that policing wasn't effective. I guess he forgot about those SCOTUS decisions that say the cops only have to show up and shove the victims into an ambulance. You would think that by now the geniuses in Chicago would have figured out that honest folks with the ability to fight back actually knock down the murder rates.Here is the Alderman's quote:

So what does a wife beater from Chicago do? :: 07/04/2013

Former CeaseFire guy, Tio, has apparently found religion, and wants to be an advocate. Thanks to our friends at Guns Save Lives for this outrageous look at what a Chicago wife beater does when his wife drops the charges. You can see the entire article here http://www.gunssavelife.com/?p=8220 Since he's been arrested twice for domestic violence, he'll probably be a fine advocate for domestic violence--as long he remains the source of the violence. Give us a break with these guys. CeaseFire may paint us as hard liners, but I'm pretty sure FOAC is free from characters like Tio.
