1Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2Consolidated Statutes, in inchoate crimes, further providing
3for possession of firearm or other dangerous weapon in court
4facility.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. The definition of "dangerous weapon" in section
8913(f) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is
9amended to read:

10§ 913. Possession of firearm or other dangerous weapon in court
11facility.

13(f) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following
14words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this
15subsection:

17"Dangerous weapon." A bomb, grenade, blackjack, sandbag, 
18metal knuckles, dagger, [knife (the blade of which is exposed in 
19an automatic way by switch, push-button, spring mechanism or 

1otherwise) or other implement for the infliction of serious 
2bodily injury which serves no common lawful purpose.] knife, 
3cutting instrument, cutting tool, nunchaku and any other tool, 
4instrument or implement capable of inflicting serious bodily 
5injury.
